AAL Forum 2015: Register now
International Convention Center, Gent
The AAL program (Ambient Assisted Living) aims to improve the quality of life of older people through the use of ICT. The annual Forum is the flagship event during which numerous national and international AAL initiatives are put in the spotlight. This year the event is organized in collaboration with iMinds and IWT.
For this annual conference 23 countries work together and fund research into large-scale applications of home automation and ICT in the home of the elderly and people with disabilities. AAL is for Ambient Assisted Living, or how ICT solutions and digital technology can help to keep people active and independent. With an estimated number of 1000 participants per day, this is the largest and most important annual event for the AAL Community in which researchers, policy makers, entrepreneurs, civil society organizations and other actors in the European healthcare sector meet, exchange knowledge and experiences and create future prospects.
The Forum will take place at the ICC in Ghent with an opening reception at the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent from 22 to 24 September.
